Monday - Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm
Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm
The Gesu Parish Center offices are located at:
1210 West Michigan Street
Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233
Gesu generally follows Marquette University's decision regarding closing the university in the event of dangerous weather conditions, typically in the winter months. That is to say, if Marquette closes, the Gesu Parish office will close, and any events and meetings scheduled to be held at Gesu will be cancelled.
We are blessed to have priests who live within easy walking distance to the church, so the cancellation of the Mass and confessions will be done only in extreme circumstances.
Because of the Sunday and/or weekend Mass obligation, Gesu will try to remain open on weekends. But if conditions prove too dangerous, Gesu will cancel activities, meetings and events. Notification of the parish's closure will be communicated via local media outlets.
The decision to close is in the interest of the safety of all involved - parishioners, visitors, priests and Marquette personnel who assist with opening and closing the Gesu facilities.
Please note: One should never seriously risk one's life to attend Mass. If the weather makes it impossible or dangerous to travel to Mass, you can watch Gesu's live stream here.
